Description of service(s) The Fredericton Downtown CHC is an organization that provides primary health-care services, illness and injury prevention, chronic disease management and community development services, using a Population Health approach. FDCHC is made up of a team of health providers who are all about working together in a collaborative practice with community participation, and patient centred care.  
 
The Fredericton Downtown CHC offers a range of health services including scheduled and unscheduled appointments with a health-care provider, as well as a wide range of diagnostic and support services from the health-care team.  
 
Horizon and the University of New Brunswick (UNB) Community Health Clinic have formed a partnership to create the Fredericton Downtown Community Health Centre. This is a teaching facility that delivers an integrated program where primary health-care services, teaching and research are combined. Horizon and UNB are integrated into this community health centre to provide primary health-care services, opportunities for students to gain experiential learning and to advance research and innovations in community-based health care.  
 
The FDCHC provides the following services to clients and non-clients:  
 
* TB testing/Mantoux testing to screen for tuberculosis. 
 
* Women's health care including comprehensive well woman exams including PAP tests; contraception counseling; family planning; prenatal care.  
 
* Sexual Health Information for men and women, i.e STI tests  
 
* Services that improve basic hygiene: provision of daily showers; provision of laundry facilities: clothing bank on the premises.
Hours Monday - Thursday - 8:00 am - 8:00 pm) 
Friday- 8:00pm - 6:30 pm
